Oil Refineries/Condensate Treatment
a grass roots condensate refinery producing a full range of refinery products, from mixed LPGs to fuel oil, at a location in Western Europe

Gas Processing
a 600 MMscfd LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) plant in two streams
a gas field development including liquids separation and pipeline for the export of natural gas
Pipeline Projects
400 kilometre LPG and 200 kilometre associated gas pipelines from an oil field to the main consuming area for a client in the Middle East. The financial arrangements were based on a production sharing agreement typical of an oil field development.
* a 300 kilometre multi-product pipeline in Eastern Europe. The software was used to examine various alternative scenarios and to select the optimum strategy.

One of these projects entailed the addition of a urea plant at a site which already contained ammonia and methanol plants. Promoter calculated the cash flows with and without the new plant. As in the case of the methanol plant, the Urea plant uses carbon dioxide from the ammonia plant as one of its feedstocks. Above a certain capacity the urea plant will constrict the capacity of the methanol plant. Promoter had to take account of these effects and calculate the optimum capacity of the urea plant.

General Comments
On one of these projects, Promoter was used to reproduce the audited accounts of the single project company, from the time when the plant was contracted for, through the construction period and for the first four years of plant operation. This exercise proved the validity of the formulae and procedures used in Promoter.
Management Training Courses
The Upstream and Downstream versions of Promoter have also been used in a number of management and project finance training courses in the UK and abroad; at in-house and public conference centres.
